Deacon's First Pet

Deacon really likes pets. He's always playing with his stuffed animals like they are his pet. Putting them in a cage, feeding them, etc. Well, a few days ago we found this caterpillar in the house and he just had to keep it. We found a cage and gave it some water and picked leaves, and have now about ever other day, this thing can eat. Deacon has been so cute about it, it makes me smile. "Mom it's going to turn into a butterfly hu!" I really didn't think it would last this long. Today I was trying to convince him to let it go find his mom and dad. He said, "No, it likes our house" So we have a pet caterpillar.
