So I snagged a sweet shelter at the REI Garage Sale and for the small and geeky club who is interested (it is like me and maybe 2 others) Here is way to much detail and color pictures.
So this is the glamor shot. Meet the Base Camp 6

Besides the two poles for the Dome style, two more poles are added to the sides to add rigidity and make all of the walls more vertical. (is this a science paper)

Mesh on the top for star gazing and air flow while keeping the bugs out. (Unless you are totally into nature and would rather the bugs slept next to you in harmony.) also check out the gear loft at the top for holding "gear"

If it rains, no worries, kablamo here's the rain fly. Also notice the vestibule on the front with plenty of room for any random sasquach to cram in there and sleep out of the rain without you even knowing.

This is the back vestibule with handy yard stick and measuring tape set at three feet so one can see . . . how big three feet is.

you may be thinking "with the rain fly on I might get too hot, but with it off I am too cold" well goldy locks check this out.(vents in the fly mmmmmm just right!)

The vents can be adjusted from the inside through these zippers. "XYZ PDQ"

Here is me standing by the tent. Not my best shot I have some weird spots on my shirt and I knocked down a cone while setting up the tent which is a clear violation. I hope I pass. (this picture of me is actual size to show the tents actual size.)

I am not really sleeping in this picture. SO can it fit six of me in there, debatable but with how ever many do fit in there you can still relax and try and be one with nature as demonstrated.

Dude... nice touch on the golden nugget "find" of awsome tents! Killer rain fly vent too. Again nice touch on your home away from home.
Dude I am proud to claim that I am one of those geeks!!! Sweet tent man. I figure we could have a party in there and even have a place for the disco ball to hang. Plus if big foot shows we will have the best tent story ever. I like the fly vent, I think it would be great for those long trips when no bathing is allowed or when Keri has beans for dinner (hot air rises). Come out to Ohio and we'll camp out for a Buckeyes game or even better go climbing and hope that the big foot shows!
Great tent! We are hoping to get a tent this week with some of our "Thank you President Bush" tax refund money. Where do you guys like to camp?
